Finetuning the sound is much easier than reprogramming the complete sound engine by the programmers, so I have good hopes and it is in V2 already pretty fun playing on several presets.īest thing is - we have no two modeling engines to choose from - PT and Arturia - which is good for competitions and faster development - and two different approaches always yield a bit different sound character, which is also good. If PT doesn't do the job for a certain piece or player, Arturia might in that case and vice versa. So I would say Gove it a try and don't be shy to ignore all the V2 presets that are misses and concentrate on the good ones and finetune them to your taste. I agree that there are some great presets in there including some of the experimental sounds. I like the tack piano even though some fight find it a bit tacky. Many of the grand piano presets sound less synthy than Pianoteq with the caveat that they are a bit subdued.
